I am from Azerbaijan. Back home, I was working for a migration service. After 8 years, I wanted to change my life. Therefore I decided to move to Hungary, close to my brother who lives in Budapest. I believe every person has the potential inside of them. What one can do and how one can react. In my old job, I was often very angry. They had limitations and rules I had to follow. I am not like that. I am a person who loves freedom. I like to choose what to do and when to do it. Therefore, I started my own business in Budapest. We have several apartments that we rent for a short time to tourists. I realized it works better for me to be a boss to myself, to set my own rules and standards. Now I am not angry. It is better like this for my life and my health.

In the beginning, it was hard for me to leave my home country and adapt to another culture. But now I know it was the right decision. Hungary, however, is only a temporary country for me. Someday, I would like to move to the Netherlands or the USA. Just not yet. I do not fear to start over again. Azerbaijan is not in Europe; the living standards and beliefs are different there. Here, I realized many countries have similar cultures. I don’t think there will be such a cultural shock for me since I have lived in Budapest for 4 years now.

I identify myself as a deist. I believe in God; I just do not identify myself with any religion or church. If you want to pray, just pray. I do not think there is any need for a church in relationship with God. Most of my people are Muslim. I was also raised as a Muslim because my parents are such. In Islam, you have set standards that tell you what the right way of talking to God is. In Christianity, they have their set standards and rules. You are not choosing them; you just have to blindly follow them. This is not for me. I like to decide for myself.
